Thank you. A Navy pilot friend pointed out to me at the time of this event that inertial navigational systems cannot be "led off course." My original reaction was to think that external navigational aids (radio beams, or whatever) were monkeyed with. I think everyone is agreed that the reason it went off course remains a "mystery." One answer to the mystery, albeit simplistic, is that a crew member (Communist Party agent) set the system wrong and did this intentionally. Big mistake, his complying with this kind of instruction, though (I mean, if this is what happened), because he is as much captive in Russia someplace today as the others. What is your personal honest opinion of what happened?
