While living in Havana in the mid-1990s, I met several normal Cuban citizens on the streets. Knowing that I was a Yanqui dog, they took chances even talking to me. One fellow, a retired Havana cop, introduced me to his nephew one evening. This nephew had been a conscripted soldier in Angola. His job was driving one of the generals. He told me that the Cuban government's position was that they were only taking light casualties, when, in fact, they suffered very heavy casualties in their fighting with the SADF and UNITA rebels.

Thank you for your report Ax. Castro isn't the darling the LIBERALS want us to think. Good grief! Just writing such a thing makes me sick.
