Larry asked them about it just now on Larry King Live (2-11-2), and they refused to deny it.

"They try to imply that they are better 'adjusted', 'productive', etc. than everybody else. Same thing with the homosexuals, and other assorted weirdos."
Yes, it is a common trick.

"Hell, i dont know. If i did, i sure as hell would not violate their confidence by telling you either."
That was a general question to the audience. Your post was just available.

You know, I've just been giving you a hard time. I do find what you do to be hard to swallow (no pun intended) however, like I said earlier, the real problem was not the swinging it was the lack of parental supervision or judgment. As far as how a prig like me can keep my spouse happy...I'm not married. I'm still in college and lots of people here swing in one way or another. Most simply call it getting trashed and doing things they shouldn't have.
I think several holes (again, no pun intended) have exposed in your reasoning/truthfulness though. BTW, Who's idea was it to start, you or your wife?

Oh yeah - she pushed a HUGE hot button. Yes, I am generalizing, but, it is a statement i am fairly qualified to make. You see, I AM a swinger. My wife and I have been in the lifestyle for 10 years. Were you to meet us, you would never know what we do. You would never know what our friends do. You would also never find any of us even showing the slightest indication of our lifestyle around kids. The couple in question made the mistake of being irresponsible. Their lifestyle was not the reason for their irresponsibility. Swingers, in general, are very responsible people. Unless your children are infants and toddlers, it is a mistake to assume that they do not know about your lifestyle or they will not find out.
If you are attempting to teach your children traditional values, don't you know they will go more by your example, than by the things you have said?
If they do not know, it is highly likely that they will find out, and then you must either deal with their feeling of being betrayed, or you tell them of the virtues of your lifestyle.
I know nothing about you or your wife, but I do know children and human behavior. Kids are fantastic when it comes to overhearing and seeing things they were not meant to see.
One more thing. If you are so totally sure that swapping is a good lifestyle...why don't you tell your children???

Now that is quite a mouthfull. Of course, you are not saying that non-swingers are just insecure, right? Are you coming out of the closet? I am saying that on average, the people I've met who were swingers were less insecure and had higher self-esteem than the population at large. I threw in a hypothesis as to why that might be to add to the discussion. I don't see what is so controversial about that. With respect to self-esteem and self-confidence, I would say the same thing about the U.S. Marines, for example (though perhaps for different reasons). If the general population is the gold standard for self-esteem, we are in more serious trouble than I thought. If all sub-groups were homogenous they wouldn't be sub-groups, now would they? Since when was making an honest observation an ideological statement?

Ok, how many swingers do we have here?I owned a 1969 Swinger and I let my friends take her for a ride often. Does that count?

Serious question: does it turn you on to watch other men _______ your wife?

Someone told me that Bob Dole had someone in his presidential campaign that was a swinger. Do you know anything about that?
LOL, he's gonna have to get out his little black book. We know it wasn't Bob Dole, Viagra wasn't available in '96. :)
