Palestinians Storm Jail, Free 10 Islamic Militants

Feb. 11

HEBRON (Reuters) - About 500 Palestinians stormed a jail in the West Bank city of Hebron Monday and freed 10 prisoners belonging to the Islamic militant groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad, witnesses said.

The prison guards were unable to hold back the crowd, who burst through the prison door, they said.

The incident was the latest in a series of attacks on prisons by Palestinians who say they fear Israeli air attacks on Palestinian security compounds will spread to adjacent prisons where dozens of militants have been jailed.

Hours earlier, Palestinian police said they had evacuated a prison in the Gaza Strip after hundreds of protesters, some throwing stones, demanded the release of prisoners following an Israeli air strike on a security compound.

Palestinian gunmen also stormed a prison in the West Bank city of Nablus last Thursday after an Israeli strike on a Palestinian Authority headquarters.

The prison stormings and the killing of three Palestinian prisoners by gunmen at a court last week in Jenin, in the northern West Bank, have raised the specter of growing anarchy and the breakdown of law and order in Palestinian-ruled areas.

The guy in the checkered scarf in your pix in #28 looks a lot like Al-Makhalafi to me.

Al-Makhlafi

Why the scarf with the western pants and jacket?

yes officer, that's the guy who disrupted our picnic, came running up shouting at the top of his lungs and then sat his hamas right down in the potato salad, and then he made off with our table cloth... instead of pressing charges, i'd much rather just bomb the heck out of his prison cell. if the israelis would generate an electronic pulse of somekind, at certain terror oriented neighborhoods, do any of the electronic engineer type freepers out there, think that could prematuerly trigger martyrdom for these mad palestinians?

I would expect industry would love to tap cheap labor in Islamic countries.

Perhaps.

I was offered one job in Indonesia (95 percent Muslim) and - later - another job in Egypt.

I've worked in some real hellholes, but I am still in the USA. I've always turned down Muslim countries.

When you see fifty Islamists dragging their tongues at the sight of a halfway pretty Western babe in the airport, you know there's something depraved about their society and their so-called "religion."

Regarding the psychosis of repressed amore, it is proof that what these people need is less spare time and more time working. After 10 hours a day, six days a week, of heavy manufacturing work, the last thing they will have the energy for is throwing rocks and getting shot at by the Israeli's.

Israel should really come down hard on all of the city of Hebron, since they cannot, will not, keep the prisoners in jail.
