ABC 13 Eyewitness News (10/03/01) — In Federal Court today, a grand jury levied indictments against a Palestinian national living in northwest Harris County. Attallah Fuad Khoury was charged with being in the country illegally, possessing a firearm, and lying on his application to purchase that gun. Khoury faces up to 30 years in prison and up to $250,000 dollars in fines.
A month before the September 11th attacks, Khoury allegedly told a rental car clerk he was two weeks away from getting a pilot's license and that she should "watch the news."

According to WSB-TV morning news, a Pakistani man has been arrested in Atlanta. He was staying with five other Pakistanis at the Emory Inn and Conference Center Hotel, which is directly across the street for the Centers for Disease Control. He is described by by the DeKalb County District Attorney as "either a terrorist or a thief" . The man was arrested for using a phoney credit card to charge more than $1000 worth of hotel bills.
