Obviously, my communication skills are not yet as finely honed as I had imagined. ;)
You were one of MANY here who believed me to be a simple-minded buffoon for not being able to grasp the concept - masterfully presented by the author of this thread! - that the Dr Pepper protest was (to a great extent) misguided, once you know all the facts.
The burden of communicating effectively lies primarily with the SENDER, and I was in error.
To the lack of republic for which they stand,
One nation,
forever divided,
with bull whips and burkas for all.
Surely you jest! Don't you know that every good thing you do is of God alone, but all the bad is totally your fault; at least that is what Calvinists you believe even though that acted was predestined by God. As stupid as this sounds, it is exactly what some Freeper Calvinists would have you believe.
No, I think that it is a good thing they tried to honor the country. It is just that their excuse is a lie.

Not if it is part of unifying the country..."this nation under God." Now, if it was intended to make money off of of mentioning God....that would be horrendously evil.

Proof that you would be critical of Dr. Pepper whether they included a mention of God or left it out. Based on your position, they should have done nothing.
