Television commercials have become an almighty tool for the music business, for veteran acts as well as breaking artists. Sting loaned his voice and image to Jaguar last year, and sales of Moby's "Play" album continue to rise as more of his songs are licensed to commercials and films. The latest act to reap the benefits from the trend are the Wiseguys. Featuring DJ Touche, the Wiseguys' 1998 Mammoth Records release "Antidote" went practically unnoticed until a track off the album was featured in a television ad for Mitsubishi Eclipse during the summer. "Start the Commotion" intrigued TV viewers enough to intrigue radio stations, which started spinning the song in regular rotation. Now "Start the Commotion" is dancing on the Billboard Hot 100..."

"Start The Commotion" was the sleeper hit of this summer reaching the upper levels of the Top 40 airplay chart. Thanks to the success of "Commotion" The Wiseguys debut album, The Antidote, has now shipped over 250,000 copies and counting.
