Just heard on Fox that the cockpit door had actually been opened by one of the crew from inside and the passenger got inside for a time before being hit on the head with the fire ax. Why the door was even opened is beyond me, but it only shows that airline security still isn't what it should be. Under no circumstances should that door be opened. There were more than enough people in the passenger area to restrain this guy.
