I would love to hear how, and perhaps without the condescention and name calling. That's the funny thing about some folks, they act like saying that ashcroft is over the line is some sort of blasphemy.

Dare I say, this is a really loopy comment? No one loved Big Brother when the Clintons were in office-- we believed nothing & questioned everything. Now, by the grace of God, we can spend a little time with our families, because we have God-fearing men in the White House. It's not easy to forget (was it-?) Ben Franklin's quote saying, 'Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither liberty nor security.' Yes we're concerned, not about (the overblown falderall) over terrorist's civil rights, but about the precedent greater federal power over security issues, & military tribunals sets for future administrations. And though we're fully well aware about the potential for abuse, we haven't become mind-numbed members of the Orwellian collective because we choose to accept & support the action of our Attorney General.
I can't help thinking there may be some biblically prophetic fulfillment in all of this. The Mayor & I don't roll over for anyone, but when faced with modern-day medieval-minded kamikazes, we know we have to use an iron fist. And though we're aware of potential dangers & possible dire consequences, we know that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord.
