If they can give one to Abu Amar, they can give one to anyone.

Harald Tom Nesvik, who represents the Party of Progress in the Norwegian parliament, said yesterday: "The background for my nomination is their decisive action against terrorism, something I believe in the future will be the greatest threat to peace. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to use force to secure peace." So, by his reasoning, George Patton should've won the Nobel prize in 1944. At last . . . a European who gets it!

Hillarious. Bush and Blair getting the peace prize? Somebody's idea of a sick joke. I agree. Neither have done a single thing to deserve it,but on the other hand, this news JUST might make Bubba-1 suicidal.

Hillarious. Bush and Blair getting the peace prize? Somebody's idea of a sick joke. Amazing, considering the source. But not hillarious.
Study history a bit. You'll learn an apparently obscure guy named Winston Churchill did much more for peace than Neville Chamberlin.
You may even learn a lesson Europeans, liberals, and "blue dog democrats" (demidogs?) have failed to learn: Appeasement never works.

I'm pretty sure that the two nominated leaders are largely responsible for freeing a nation from tyranny. Some of realize that the destruction of those doing evil is the best path to peace in this world.

Black is white, up is down, peace is forceful.
I'm loving the scorecard bit. A nice personal "man to man" spin on the misting of Muslims by the thousands.

Only Communists (Gorbachev, when Reagan actually deserved it), or hard-over Socialists, seem to get the Nobel Peace Prize these days.
