Money for his Investigative Project has come from, among others, Richard Mellon Scaife - the right-wing publisher who funded much negative reporting of scandals involving Bill Clinton.Notice the clever insertion of this little factoid. What the hell does that have to do with Arab terrorists talking about "oceans of blood"? At least Scaife was funding some research on these buttwipes, the F.B.I. sure as hell didn't seem to care.
Apparently this reporter (Rick Montgomery) thinks Scaife's money neutralizes the accuracy of the documentary? What a jerk.

Jihad in America is available at www.iclips.com
However, I just went to the website and it's not running right now as the website is being redesigned. I watched this documentary right after 9/11, and it will make your blood boil. It was a real eye opener.

Steve Emerson came down here to speak at a synagogue and got a very nice reception from the older Jewish folk. I wish I had known he was in town.

I am really curious if those who defend freedom of speech without reservation would argue
that the freedom must extend to those who demonstrably act on the hate speech they
spout.
It would be an interesting debate.
Just for myself, I'm all for the free speech...as long as we keep the "yelling fire
in a theater" type exceptions AND allow use of speech freely in court cases to show
frame of mind of the accussed.
(Just my inexpert opinion).
This wide-open approach to free speech is coming back to bite the derriere of the Iman of
the mosque of Cleveland.
Turns out he got all the public/ecumenical support of Cleveland when a fellow rammed his
car into the mosque following 9-11.
A good bit of the warm-and-fuzzy vibes disappeared when somebody came up with a video tape
from the early 1990's in which this Imam was giving some VERY vile speeches about Jews
to raise money for the Palestinians.
The Imam is a pretty charismatic fellow and has done a decent job of disawoving those
"indiscretions", speaking a "Islam is a religion of peace" line these days.
But you could see his support eroded...some of the other ministers (Methodists, etc.) in the area
have now distanced themselves from the Imam.
(As much as I detest most of PBS, I saw the news about the Imam on Bill Moyers'
new PBS series "NOW" a couple of weeks ago. I was suprised how hard-edged it was.)
That's the thing about the First Amendment....it's the real "reality check" and
"give them enough rope" mechanism. Even it puts us through some unpleasant moments.
As Professor Kingsfield (John Houseman) said in "The Paper Chase" series:
"Nothing is EVER 'off the record'."
(In other words, First Amendment or not...anything you say aloud can come back to you.)

I recall a recent article that stated Rick Montgomery was a local reporter in Arkansas who came to Washington with Bill Clinton to cover national news.

Islam is a "pieceful" religion. They want unbelievers blown up to "pieces."

Calls for `oceans of blood' came during Kansas Muslim conventionGuys, are you sure you want to do this? Because I can guarantee that 90% of that blood is going to be yours.
Take a look at the Palestinian vs. Israeli body count. Now think about the fact that the Israeli's are holding back. Think about the fact that truly ticked off Americans can make the Israelis look like choir boys. Talk to Japan about this.
I ask again, are you sure you want to do this?

Extreme Islam: Anti-American Propaganda of Muslim Fundamentalism
That looks like it would make for interesting reading!
Perhaps a useful addition would be the
"Pocket Guide to Militant Islam".
I haven't read it, but heard the author, Alan Caruba, interviewed on The Larry
Elder Show on KABC 790AM radio here in Los Angeles.
Details can be found at Caruba's website at:
www.anxietycenter.com.
(I think Caruba actually got his website going as an extension of his "it ain't necessarily
so" approach to a lot of mainstream media "truths", e.g., "we're going to be out of
oil in a year" or " global warming will fry us all", etc.

"He wrongly speculated in 1995 that Islamic militants bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City."
Was he wrong? Prof Laurie Mylorie thinks he is right. Many people gave a description of a Middle Eastern man. All of those leads were ignored by the FBI. I have read many reports about the Arab Muslim connection to OKC. I don't think it is far-fetched at all. Many leads were totally ignored.

Veronica, I have told you before: It is RUDE to ping someone to a thread in the hopes of bringing conflict and disharmony.
I can find my way around FR just fine without your assistance. Take me off your ping list.
