If you believe that the 17th Amendment to the Constitution had the result of "putting the final nails in the coffin of the Republic", then the Republic has been dead for nearly 85 years now. This would make any attempt to support the ideals of the Republic not conservative, but reactionary. Not to mention that trying to put life into an 85 year dead corpse rather smacks of 'Dr. Frankenstein'. You come on as if you are some sort of comic book parody of principled conservatism.
