"Thank you for your kind words--they help so much. And now I'm going to tell you something that happened this morning--I got to "hear" John letting me know something I believed--but did not really understand until this AM. When we were married--our wedding verse, or rather the theme for the sermon, was 1 Corinthians 13. Those verses were the "theme" for our marriage--and John let me know this morning that Love never ends. His spirit--which he always told me Jesus meant when He talked about a man's heart--belongs to Jesus--and it has not died! The love we shared--which flowed from God through our "hearts" to each other and to those around us (when we weren't being stupid and selfish) cannot die because it has been redeemed through Christ's love for us and his sacrifice on the cross. At the moment Jesus' body died--in complete obedience to his Father's will--His Spirit conquered Death--and Satan--and that Love gives John and I victory over death. The love we share is eternal--and right now Jesus has His "everlasting arms" tight around my number 1 John--and me--and even in my tears I can shout--LOVE NEVER ENDS. I know this now--it is not an idea in my head--it is a Truth which Jesus--with John's help (or maybe it is vice-versa) gave me to cling to this morning just as tightly as I was hugging his pillow!!!!(It helps--what can I say!) I would love to to share this "truth" with others on FreeRepublic--but it's getting time for me to head off to church, I really feel there are a lot of believers out there--and maybe unbelievers--who need to know how powerful the truth of 1 Corinthinians 13 is. Oh--and one other thing "1 John" let me know--the thread means a lot to him :)!!!!! Anyway--thanks for letting me pour out my thoughts--and I would really appreciate it if you shared them.
