I appreciate these threads so much. They remind me as well as anything just how awful was that day.
Monday the Discovery-Times channel, at 8 Central time, is having a show called “The Falling Man”. It is about one of the men who, in desperation, jumped from a Trade Center window on 9/11. If they handle it well, it could be a very touching tribute. I plan to watch and, if it is handled poorly, they WILL be hearing from me. This is just to important to screw up.
FReegards and a 9/11 BUMP! I will remember. I will never forget.
I just noticed that while this thread only has 350+ posts, it has about 25,000 views. That is rather gratifying, and suggests that there are a lot of other people who keep returning here from time to time.
I really want to see us defeat these thugs. The have to lose support and the ability to intimidate the world. The jury is out after six years whether we have the will to win. Europe is not reassuring, and the Dems here want to emulate Europe. After six years, our military was not expanded meaningfully, so I’m not sure the DOP gets it either. We had an all volunteer force in the 1980s, but managed to maintain a larger army. Taking out Iran should be a no-brainer should we decide to do so.
Anyway, thanks for your pointer to the Discovery-Times special, and your words of appreciation.
Six years ago, everyone was... what? Focused on Gary Condit? And the libs on Gore v. Bush? They never got past that or the vicious political tone set by the Clinton henchmen. Meanwhile, nineteen fanatics were preparing for a business trip - or, for them, I suppose, a pleasure trip.
