It's funny that you posted today, I just happened to reread some of the threads today before your post, thinking about the war, and as always, I had to wipe my eyes dry.

"Why we fight" -- people can't see that we are in a world war. Can you imagine peaceniks in 1942 going to Berlin to stand with Hitler? We have thousands of Jane Fondas now. And they are all so hopelessly clueless. We are once again in a war not of our choosing, but one we must win. The way to win this war is to remake the Arab world. Afghanistan was simply a radical Arab outpost. If the Arabs (and you can toss in the Persians) don't become civilized, there will be nuclear war in the future, because too many of them cannot be deterred.

If not now, then when? This is the moment, and this president sure seems to have "the vision thing" his dad lacked.

Just my rant of the day.

From all I can see, radical Islam has replaced Communism.
It has become the ideology (note, NOT a religion) for those who simply refuse to get
onboard with the 21st Century.
And have decided there are good reasons to kill anyone who does.
At least they've simplified the situation: We kill them or they kill us.
Unfortunately, some Westerners haven't caught on yet.
I suspect all of them are among those who DIDN'T lose a friend or loved one at the WTC
or the Pentagon.

If not now, then when?

You'd think that position would resonate even with the Hollywood Leftists.
But I guess they are so confident that other people will do their dirty work in the
US Military and keep their homes in the Hollywood Hills secure...they don't care if the
fight happens on their "watch" or that of this or any succeeding generation.
Kinda' makes me wish that Dubya would sound a Patrick Henry tone of the sound of battle
already in the air and that we won't get stronger by waiting...during his State of The Union
speech...

Sorry I've got to run.....just had to put in my $0.02 of rant before I left for the day....
