I can't believe that the Tallhassee police are so bored they have to dig up diversion and juvenille records. First, I can vouch that other than writing traffic tickets, TPD does nothing. However, the record was not juvenile, she was 18. Im sure it was available through NCIC. This type of info would be "dug up" on anyone. She seems to have had many run-ins with the law. Its time she is treated like the rest of us peasants.

I agree with Free Tally. I know in NJ, when a person applies for pre-trial intervention ( that's what NJ calls it.Pennsylvania calls it ARD -Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition , etc. etc. )a criminal record search is done: State Bureau and NCIC records.
If the person has a prior conviction history they may be denied admission into the program. If they are denied, or of they fail to comply with program provisions, the original charge is re-instated, and scheduled for pre-trial conference : regardless of political affiliations.
Were Jeb Bush to attempt an "end run" on this procedure, he would, quite correctly, be held up for scorn...if not official censure.
Yes, his opponent is Janet Reno-but yes, this is the way these things need to be done !
