I appreciate a political coup delivered by either side, but this one is awfully lame. A person would have to either specifically type out the long domain name (rightwingnuts) or click a link (and thusly never even see the domain name). And either way, you gain website 'hits' for the target webside.

As far as political pranks go, this registers as a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Unless the prankster submits the bogus name to search engines and it gets spidered. Then the bogus name competes with the real one.

They wouldn't even have to submit the name actually. They could just leave live links to the bogus name/link on their site and search engines will crawl and find it.
