And not much time or money or even lip service spent on preventing abortionists from continuing to butcher unborn babies at a rate of 4000 per day.
C'mon Dubya, that many Silent Screams should be deafening by now

Seems everyone around here thinks your post won't last. I think it fits right in here on FR.

Good post. In answer to Jim, I think AAABEST is trying to say what a lot of the critics on the board have been saying...we will not move forward by moving backward. Up to now, Bush has been given much more than the benefit of the doubt but the honeymoon is over. For a lot of people, the lesser of two evils ain't going to cut it anymore. Giving the GOP a pass to move farther and farther left is not the way to advance an agenda of limited constitutional government.
Say what you will about the left, they never, ever give up on their goal of unlimited, unconstitutional government.
The GOP needs to get its act back together again or risk losing some elections. Which wouldn't be a bad thing...government grew far less when GOP did not have control of House and Senate.

Hoping to tap into a rise volunteering spurred by the Sept. 11 attacks, President Bush is seeking $560 million next year and higher status for old and new programs to prompt Americans to serve their communities.
If Congress agrees,
the money would expand a trio of programs which for years have placed volunteers by the sides of the poor, the elderly and the very young around the world: AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and the Peace Corps.
It also would establish the Citizen Corps, a group to encourage people to support security efforts at home by volunteering at such places as police stations and hospitals and to boost participation in Neighborhood Watch programs.
Bush aims to recruit more than 200,000 new volunteers.

You also didn't put it where stupid, pointless, senseless, sour-grapes and logic-bereft VANITIES belong: In
the recycle bin "Your Opinions/Questions."
I've hit the abuse button.
