Most of that laundry list will be discarded and Bush will get his priorities passed. You hope.

As one who is not religious, I do think that Bush's faith gives him courage to move ahead whatever the risks when he is convinced that it is moral and right to do so, even if not what his pollsters tell him is the best approachI think you are absolutely right. As a person of faith myself, I commend you for having a good grasp on how it works within a person. It can be unbelievably strong and provide courage that one never dreamed that she or he could possess.
I'll pray that the "Force" continues to be with him too.........lol

Keep in mind that GWB has upped the ante for the federal budget; he is delivering the largest federal budget proposal to Congress in history.
Now, to pay for this package while our national debt continues to increase ($6_trillion_dollars) reflects either a starry eyed ignoramus or a complete twit. At the end of the day, you are going to suffer from this so-called conservative at the steering wheel of our nation.

. The Democrats want forced charity so I can't imagine they liked the "volunteer" word.Actually, the Dems used the "v" word when AmeriCorps was created. You know that program, the one that is an insult to anyone that truly takes part in a voluntary organization.

smite the teachers unionsA huge project but destroying the training camps is most important. I joined the Alliance for Separation of School and State in 1996. Naively, I thought everyone would like the idea. The visceral emotion reaction against the concept took my breath away. I might as well have been selling the bubonic plague. It will be a long battle.

Bush said nothing about the removal of our troops and presence in BosniaHe did mention the cooperation with the Bosnian government in hunting down terrorists.

Take out the 12% increase in the military the Bush budget gos up only 2% which is less then inflation so in real terms is a decrease in spending.
So I take it you are against a military pay raise nitwit?
To: Republic
I thought Teddy looked ill and quite pale.
To: america-rules
The federal budget goes up 8% with Bush's proposal. It is the largest federal budget in history, pal. And YOU are going to pay for it, just like the rest of us.

"He did mention the cooperation with the Bosnian government in hunting down terrorists. " -- xm177e2 Isn't this quaint. American troops in Bosnia for years and we receive a little consideration from this artificial government. Give me a break!

Do you meaning the teachers' colleges? They can't be touched so long as they are supported by the Establishment: the National and state education agencies, the School Board Association, the Administrative associations, and, last but not least, the textbook publishers. And lest I forget: the DNC.

I'll pay for a 12% increase in the military. I'll even pay for a 50% increase in the military. The 2% in the other domestic spending is a cut no matter how you want to spin it and if the military wasn't getting 12% the left would be crying like babies because of the cuts!

"Instead, you made a personal attack on her."
?
It happens every second here.
Looks like you took 5 years long holidays.
No postcards... bad comrade!
To: woofie
Isn't it nice to watch our President give a speech and not turning the TV off with a brick? Had to replace a lot of TV's and remotes when Clinton was prez.
To: LarryLied
Finally, someone gets it.[DOAIJV raises hand, waves it wildly] I got it! I got it!! Even before I read this!
