he spent much of his time with the children, playing tag, and giving them piggy bag rides(My son is extremely tall 6'5" and quite big and muscular)Then the children showed him how they round up the goats for the night, and place them in a pit lined with yak dung and cover the whole thing over for warmth...I guess he got quite a kick out of the whole thing, but did find that sometimes it was hard to keep up with even the children, because he was still getting acclimatised to the high altitude, while the Tibetans, having been born there are adapted better for it...
But he said, once night fell, and in their beds in the tents with the nomads, life had taken on quite a different perspective than he was used to...But Chinese encroachment is everywhere in Tibet, so my son was glad to have seen and lived with these Tibetan nomads, before the time comes when their culture and way of life may be done away with by the Chinese..
