Telepathic Football Threatens Chilean Teens

VILLA SAN RAFAEL, Chile (Wireless Flash) -- Forget Bigfoot or the Mothman. The newest paranormal creature is a four-legged football.

Believe it or not, a creature matching that exact description has been sighted threatening teenagers in Villa San Rafael, Chile.

Researchers at the Calama UFO Center in Chile claim the mysterious menace has wings, a face like a large bulldog and is "shaped like a rugby football with legs."

Paranormal researcher Dr. Virgilio Sanchez-Ocejo isn't sure if the creature is one of those goat-sucking chupacabras, but admits both animals telepathically communicate with humans.

The winged football is just one of hundreds of strange creatures that have been terrorizing Chile since 1999 and Dr. Sanchez-Ocejo suspects the mysterious beings are entering Chile through a dimensional doorway.

Well thank you...I wrote books for my grandchildren while their mothers were pregnant, telling all the things that were invented since I was born, my political and religious views, something about the current events while they were growing, waiting to be born...and delivered them to the parents with a cedar chest handmade by a local carpenter for each child...

I also included short stories that I write, like "You can't get there from here," (about giving directions in the country) and one about chickens raised on deer meat (and what happens when the owner runs out of venison...) and one about not naming the animals that you plan to eat ("Pigs Are Very Smart") but my passion is being pro-life. I wrote to them about how beautiful and handsome and brilliant they would be, and how I wanted them to always DO THE RIGHT THING no matter how hard it would be...

I entered the pig and the chicken stories in a local county contest and they both won prizes--Chicken first prise, Pig second prize (different years) but now I just write for the forum and for my family.

St. Louis is always called a "town" for some reason, hardly ever called a city. I grew up in a beautiful suburb in the County.

And if an Englishmen masquarading as some trumped up Spanish Royal, when he's really Lemmy, the cab driver from Hackney, London....give him what for!!

My dear habs – Let it be known to you and the other villains of your colony that the late King Phillip of Spain bestowed the title upon my family. Yhis honour was given for numerous valiant actions against the English pirates in the days when your county was run by the French.

Believe me when I say this habs, I quite understand you envy of my noble lineage – if my ancestor had fled to the Americas to escape the hangman noose, I too would feel as you do towards people of superior birth. But do not let it consume you my dear fellow – I know what it is like to be a insignificant member of the great proletariat.

Although, I always knew that something was amiss, even before discovering my true parentage, as I never did feel comfortable in the presence of Canadians or others of similar stock.

Your hackneyed joke about Lemmy the cab driver – very droll, very droll indeed. The motley becomes you sir.

Note to self: Jester -this is one of the many parts of habs that must be improved or eliminated.

Hi Goody
I didn't shop in Department stores my last 15 years in NYC
I lived on 5th St and First Ave
Bloomie's was all the way up at 60th St
who wants to take a subway to shop
so discovering the mall in Tucson has been a delight
during their sales prices come way down, cheaper than Target
and the stuff is lovely
Love, Palo

A good inheritance! The best! Your subjects to me are... a little Louis Grizzard mixed with Miss Florence King... a touch of Eudora Welty. :)

Hi Palo ~ The whole time I lived in NYC, I was terrified of the subway...so when I went up to Cornell I walked from home (Murray Hill) to 69th.

hi sweetie
your weather arrived in Tucson 'bout week and a half ago and is still stickin' around
we're fogged in too
just got back from walkin' Lulu
and sat down to rest
(this new acceleration took it all out of me)
she sat down near by and looked at me
I realized I was lookin' at the loveliest face on 4 legs
everything you said 'bout bassets is true
(altho from a certain angle her face does look like a dragon, it is interesting)
I am overjoyed you like basset calendar
Love, Palo

You're right Palo, but he might drink all day.. and it is night there now... You know how it goes in those foreign countries.. They like to tipple the wine... Of course, our boy Habs likes to do that at night time.. so there you go.. Both arm benders... I wouldn't want to start a rumor, or course......ahem...

Both arm benders... I wouldn't want to start a rumor, or course......ahem..

. Grannie, my little gray fox, Now that you have slandered us both let me point out to you that a little wine with lunch and a good cognac with the coffee is not drinking in the accepted sense of the word. And I am sure habs partaking of a little Canadian Club whisky would be considered as helping the economy.

But look you my little votary of Vestal when the good Canuck gets into his stride I am going to need all the help I can get and you are my main man, so to speak.

PS. Munchkin - that does not include making like Donna King and arranging an international match in Madison Square Garden.
