Yes, the far side is shielded from all the static radio noise from Earth, so it's the perfect place to put a radio telescope. Then there's the stability of the Moon and the helpfulness of extreme cold on the far side. We could also build an array of small telescopes and we could observe the Earth. So much to do and that's just some of the astronomy stuff.
