In memory of those whose lives were lost:
September 11, 2001 ![](http://www.ishaah.com/Images/091101usa.jpg)
Irving Berlin, 1918 [revised 1938]
While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.
God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies, To the ocean white with foam God bless America, My home sweet home.
God Bless our great country. May Freedom ever ring!
Take a minute, and pray for WORLD PEACE today for everyone -- everywhere!

It would seem that if all the petition signers put their money where their mouth is (excuse the harshness of the platitude-its not meant that way) the appropriate memorial can be developed without NYC involvement. Now, who can we get to start this trust fund?

They'll hide, twist or belittle it probably. They're spooked the people are seeing through the lies.

Any idea how long it might take to print and bind 100,000?Way it's going,Jeff could have that many or more in his hip pocket by the time 100,000 are bound.
To: Gracey
I personally "adopted" the state of Alabama. I adopted Florida, unfortunately I've been getting a lot of my emails returned with the following message:
----- The following address had permanent fatal errors -----
UGH!

Wording can mean everything, thank goodness we have Jeff to speak for us.His article was good.

This is WONDERFUL NEWS, for them to depict anything other than historically correct IS WRONG.
I would like to introduce you all to Beamer while I am here, he is one of the Mascots of the USO Canteen FReeper Style.
Beamer was named after Todd Beamer, one of the HEROES of Flight 93, and we have Morgan, our little gray kitten, named after Todd and Lisa's new daughter.
DON'T EVER FORGET 9/11 PEOPLE..Todd is gone from us
Please visit the USO Canteen and email a serviceperson, and tell them THANK YOU for your FREEDOM.
It would only take a minute, but means so much..
Here is Beamer!

Jeff estimated 1,050 pages. Right? That means a few ink cartridges. It might even trash a printer. Taking it to a print shop is another route.
Anyway, Jeff, once we figure the logistics of what it's going to take to get these signatures to NYC, perhaps we can take up a collection here on Free Republic to cover the costs.

Just sent this Press Release to maybe 200 major media (newspapers, networks, wire services, etc.) outlets. Phenomenal!
To: Jeff Head
Just a thought you've probably already discarded.
If you drove cross country, with some bound and presentable signatures, trusted Freepers meeting you on the way for quick handoffs of cheaper(home)printed pages in folders, later signatures coming in closer to NY,it could make good photo ops, etc.
It would show the grassroots wanting their voice heard. The cheap stuff wouldn't be presented but it would let the people physically show support.
You could pick up 100,001 near home or let someone come in from the left coast with a load and get higher numbers East.
To: Barnacle
I thought I was the only one strange enough to be up this time of night.Welcome to the club.
To: Gracey;all
Also, how can we go about trying to get others to adopt a state?OK, "all".... how about it?
