"Is it any surprise that those who lack belief in God are "pro-choice"? How can you claim that life has any intrensic value if you believe that life is the result of a random series of events? It's no surprise to me. The Godless people are the most evil, repugnant people on the planet. Their philosophy is hideous and sophomoric." Let me point out that we pro-life atheists and agnostics hold no hopes that any baby killed by an abortionist gets transported into a land of harps and golden streets. Everything those babies have is snuffed out irretrievably. While it may assuage the guilt of some Christians (my mother-in-law, for instance) to counter every setback and violation of human rights with an "At least they're in heaven now," it does nothing to help. Forget atheists, and find another bogeyman. I suggest starting with your local churches and their reluctance to speak out.

Upon what basis do you claim that life has more value than a rock, when both are the result of the same mindless process? Just because you say so?

I have to agree with you about the churches reluctance to speak out in defense of the lives of the developing human life in utero. In order to keep the pews and the collection plate filled and not offend anyone who may subscribe to the prochoice view or perhaps may have even been through the abortion experience they remain as quiet as "church mice"!
