Are you being purposefully obtuse? Lan Lee had a HEARING. Daschle would not allow Reich to even have a hearing.
As for Gene Scalia, he was passed out of committee and had Daschle allowed a vote, he would have won confirmation.
This is not rocket science. Lan Lee had a hearing but didn't make it out of committee.
