"In no way, what so ever, should anyone change an actual event in history and depict it in a way that is not true! By changing the ethnicity of the fire fighters or the sex is simply recreating an untrue event. Fact is this, those were the men who stood tall together in support and for the sake of them, their families, the fire union, all the individuals who where killed and impacted by this tragic event; they should be given the respect and the statue should be created as what truely happened that day. The day needs to be represented as it happened and not creating an issue of ethnicity, we need to accept people and things as they are, haven't we all been hurt enough!

What ticks me off, and I'm probably not the first to remark on this, is that if it had been three black firefighters and anyone had suggested they be changed to white, all HELL would break loose! (Not that it would ever have even been suggested, of course.) Hey, suppose we make a monument to the 4 little girls killed in the Altanta church bombings... only let's make one White, one Asian, one Hispanic.... after all, racism hurts us all! Ha. Can you imagine???
