ctd, you are the guy who is always itching to tell people how smart he is. The clashes on our earlier thread prove this.

Just giving fair warning of gifts God has given to me. My claiming to be much smarter than you is not so much a reflection of my God-given intellect as it is a reflection of your intellectual handicaps.

Your behavior is inconsistent with Christianity. I conclude that you are one of the Saviour-but-not-Lord heretics which frequently get caught in Campus Crusade's gospel net.

I never said I was perfect; just Saved! I also do not claim that Campus Crusade is a perfect organization; just that it was used by God to present the Gospel message to me, and I accepted Christ as my Savior as a result. As big a fraud as Benny Hinn is, it is possible that people are saved through his preaching. It is the message, not the messenger that touches the hearts of men.

Here you are making judgments about the validity of the Salvation of other people; and you dare to imply that I am arrogant? Look in the mirror, fool!

"As big a fraud as Benny Hinn is, it is possible that people are saved through his preaching."

Of course, God has already shown that he is able to use the jawbones of asses to accomplish his purposes. He would even "raise up stones" to do it if he wanted.

I'm sure you will agree that just as a child is emotionally immature, a "new Christian" (babe in Christ) is going to be spiritually immature .... but both are expected to show evidence of growing out of that immmaturity.

Any truly regenerate (justified) person who (because he/she is being progressively sanctified by God) will be growing in "spiritual maturity" and will thus eventually have better discernment and avoid those aberrant "preachers" and their churches that have a low, or sub-Christian view of Scripture, or are outright heretics.

Some regenerate people make slow progress (for various reasons), and some are just pretending to be Christians(tares).

No truly regenerate person will ultimately reject Scriptural Truth, nor will such a person fight tooth and nail against that Truth of God when it is presented to him/her. A regenerate person has an open, teachable, Berean-like, attitude of mind, which is very noticeable.
