Watch EWTN Monday nights, there is a show called "Coming Home",where Protestant converts tell their conversion stories. They don't hold the same animosity as some of the x-Catholics here do.I would just like to know why.

Most people that convert to Roman Catholicism were never saved...most come from apostate Protestant churches..they have never hear anything but a social gospel..so they think they have moved into a more holy ,prayerful church..they can sit in the pew and watch a ritual performed and substitute it for a real personal relationship with the God of heaven and earth..
If they are happy I wish them well.....but the truth from my perspective is they will never be saved there....I weep for my Catholic friends and family.."MY people perish for lack of knowledge"
