You are missing the point. Humans are responsible for their own behavior. Man's inability to choose God is the inability of man's wickedness. God does not excuse man's spiritual deadness. Man's spiritual deadness is ultimately his strange and fully Satanic contempt for his Creator!

***

When you understand the Fall and the Curse, the doctrine of predestination starts to make frightfully good sense.

The Adamic race was damned all the way back in Eden. Only the elect will be snatched out of this mess as brands from the burning.

He that believeth not is damned already.

And the topic of believing suddenly gets very serious indeed when you notice how much God has to say by way of warning us about phony faith. Phony faith is part of the damning depravity which hit the race right after the Fall in Romans 1. Sinners don't want to go to hell, but they don't really want to know God, either! Apart from supernatural regeneration, the God-hating depravity will win out!

People would rather try to fake faith by their do's and don'ts than to meet God in real faith. Sinners are fools. This insanity comes directly from the Fall.
