I'm not preaching a political message. You can drink with them, laugh about 'dicking' someone in an email, and all the rest, but you won't have anything new. Just the same life you already have.

He can drink with us, discuss politics with us, laugh with us, and whatever he wants, and the Calvinist message remains the same:

A guy walked out of a grave. That doesn't just happen. It means something.

There's a big, black hole in the Atheist chronology in 33 AD. There is no way around it. Something happened. Something incredible. Something without which History does not make sense.

A guy walked out of a grave. That's the Calvinist Gospel.

That's what we preach to atheists. That historical fact, in and of itself, has changed lives. Brought down empires. Re-written history.

And the atheist has to do something with that. His historiography just does not make sense without it.

What's your "gospel" again?

Oh, yeah. Something about beer being devil-drink and "if only you would just choose to believe".

Calvinists reject such a mindless "easter-bunny" Faith.

We say, Give them something concrete to believe in.

Maybe you've heard of it.

It's the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And Pauls admonition to give up one's 'rights' rather then offend a brother means nothing? (Rom.14:15)

Even so, come Lord Jesus
