Faith is the evidence of our salvation; not a requirement for it.

That's the difference between being saved by faith and being saved by grace through faith.

Something pointed out to me in a single sentence by GeorgeW.Bush two years ago -- "We aren't saved by faith; we're saved by grace through faith."

Can't hear it too many times.
