Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

It makes me wonder. According to the OT, we are all the sons of Adam. And according to Luke 3:38, Adam was the son of God.

Makes me wonder about much of what is called "orthodox" Christianity.
