Why do I say that? See my #73. Your argument just doesn't work. My observations in #73 really do prove that you don't understand the nature and extent of the Atonement.

You can't get around these theological problems which I have identified. You need to stop ignoring them.

And BTW, I will not even respond to you until you admit that I'm clearly right in #73.

Protestant theology seems to have taken fast toward the direction that man must be held more and more worthless in order for God to be more exhalted. I understand the logic in it, but it seem such a far distance from being created in the image and likeness of man and from receiving God's original blessing. Even more so from God's love. If we cannot love ourselves, even with our finite life and weaknesses, as children of God, we make God seem a fool for loving us, his own children.

Surrender does not require depravity first, and it may seem less possible for man to realize salvation and communion with God who seems so distant and outside himself.
