My point isn't that God doesn't choose to look at any individual's future. My point is that individual decisions are irrelevant to God's plans and timetables. He has the power to make them turn out His way no matter what any human being decides. It's sort of like the "all things work together for good..." passage.

Ahhh my friend..one of my favorite passages..but you have to finish the quote:>)

Romans 8
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Outside this context the verse is meaningless..for we know that God does not choose for ALL things to work for the good..the examples are legion

But, Mom, you underlined the wrong part, so I added the underscore in the proper location. I have no problem with that given that it's read correctly.

It means he lovingly knew AHEAD OF TIME that GROUP He would predesinate, or lock in.
