You are right it has no bearing on anything *grin* I was thinking of the old saying about " being knocked off your high horse when I wrote that ..and the truth is God can strike you at His will when He chooses and wherever you are.
It is His grace that makes the scales fall from your eyes and allows you to see the truth.God's choice my friend..ask Paul:>)
Even though the bible doesn't say it, if the truth be known, I, too, prefer to think of it as Paul falling off a horse. I just need to keep in mind the difference between an assumption, even a likely assumption, and a biblical fact.
Assumptions aren't bad. I'd suggest that since Paul was an official emmissary going to Damascus with letters from the High Priest, that Paul was a respected pharisee, that he had a valuable trade (tent-maker) and appeared to be financially successful all lead me to assume that he would have been riding rather than walking in what was a long journey. I don't know what to assume his mode of transportation would have been, but it would have been something from which he could fall to the ground.
I've always assumed "horse," but I must be careful to admit that it's an assumption and not a fact.
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
As a poor pathetic lurker to all this fine debate, could you tell us what exactly, caused you to go over to the doc's view? Thanking you in advance, TTC
