I am telling you, the Adam-God Theory is not a teaching of the LDS Church, and is not true. Interesting that you quote me saying that and then immediately proclaim the Adam-God Theory in big bold letters.

I will readily concede that the LDS no longer teaches the Adam-God doctrine. Your twelth "President and Prophet" Spincer W. Kmball denounced it as false in 1976. However, this does bring up a problem for you for your "prophets" have taught it.

The words of your "prophet" Young:

How much unbelief exists in the minds of the Latter-day Saints in regard to one particular doctrine which I revealed to them and which God revealed to me--namely that Adam is our Father and our God...
Now, the burning question I have is your prophet telling the truth or is he not. If your prophet is telling the truth, then you are not embraching your faith. If he is not telling the truth, then he is a "false prophet" who is today looking forward to the Lake of Fire. Which is it? His words are there in black and white for all to see, easily verifiable for one willing to go to the trouble to find out.

And Brigham Young is not the only one to have taught it. Joseph Smith (August 1830 D&C 27:11):

And also with Michael, or Adam, the father of all, the prince of all, the ancient of days;
This, I dare to point out is 20 years before Brigham Young's revelation. Now, is Joseph Smith right or is he wrong? These are the words of your "prophets".

And even though this doctrine was officially denounced in 1976, D&C 138:38 was added in 1982:

Among the great and mighty ones who were assembled in this vast congregation of the righteous were Father Adam, the Ancient of Days and father of all,
So, which of your prophets are real and which of your prophets are heading for the Lake of Fire? Since you claim to be a brother in the faith, I do have a right to inquire. Your words: You asked if God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are of one mind. I answer, Yes of course, the Bible says so. They are One God. Now, the first thing I notice is that RnMomof7 asked you wrong thing. It is easy for you to concede that your gods are of one mind. The LDS does teach this. I'm simply asking the more difficult questions concerning the LDS definition of "One God" and your particular beliefs. So, will you dare to answer these simple questions?

And here we have OPie, copying and pasting his Chorazin/Bethsaida boilerplate over and over and over for every unwary poster who happens by, insisting that his logic is flawless and compelling and must be agreed to.

Could it be that WM is upset at OrthodoxPresbyterian"s postings, because there is little consistance in the doctrine of the LDS,so what was written in 1976 is no longer true ..it is a work in progress..no cutting and pasting there cause what is true today may not be true tomorrow..unlike the word of God??The one True God..Father,Son and Spirit that says He is the God that "changes not"

On that note regarding the leadings of "modern day prophets"

1 The Bible lists six identifying marks of false prophets, any one of which is sufficient for identification: (1) through signs and wonders they lead astray after false gods (Dt. 13:1-4); (2) their prophecies don't come to pass (Dt. 18:20-22); (3) they contradict God's Word (Isa. 8:20); (4) they bear bad fruit (Mt. 7:18-20); (5) men speak well of them (Lk. 6:26); and (6) they deny that Jesus, the one and only Christ, has come once and for all in the flesh (1 Jn. 4:3), thereby denying His sufficiency in all matters of life and godliness (2 Pe. 1:3)

If the shoe fits ya need to put it on and walk..no run away from such a "church"!

Now, the first thing I notice is that RnMomof7 asked you wrong thing. It is easy for you to concede that your gods are of one mind. The LDS does teach this. No woody I asked the "right" question 3 or 4 times..he just gave the only answer a polythestic religion can give.. I pressed and pressed on that..and all he could say is one "mind"

Your #1196:

I get it! You think every reference to "Ancient of Days" is a reference to God Himself!

The LDS heading to Daniel Chapter 7
Daniel sees four beasts representing the kingdoms of men -- He sees the ancient of days (Adam) to whom the Son of Man (Christ) shall come -- The kingdom shall be given to the saints forever.

Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

The description of the Ancient of Days is indeed glorious, but God is Endless and Eternal rather than Ancient of Days. Notice also that Christ, the Son of Man, comes in the clouds of heaven, like His Second Coming, coming down to Adam, the Ancient of Days, as Adam's superior, while Adam is conducting a meeting with millions before him.

We are taught that this is a meeting that will occur shortly before the Second Coming, where Adam will deliver up, give back, the keys of the priesthood to Him whose right it is to reign.
