I'm sorry you tend to see me this way, especially since there has been nothing I posted on this or any other thread to give you this impression. Granted, I am not joyous and hopeful - I have long since given up hope that the Jewish people will take the commandment regarding Amalekites seriously - However, I do not consider myself embittered or a "self-styled victim". The Germans killed Poles, you know. They especially killed priests. Thousands of Polish priests died at the hands of the Nazis.

A hero of John Paul's, Fr. Maximilian Kolbe, died at the hands of the Germans in Auschwitz. His crime was speaking out against the killings of Jews.

Another heroine of his, Sr. Teresa Benedicta (St. Edith Stein) also died in Auschwitz. Her crime was that she was born Jewish.

John Paul II canonized both of them.

The RCC worked in concert with Hitler to help carry out his dastardly deeds.
