[history]
January 17, 2002 -- PASADENA - An emotional Monica Lewinsky choked back tears yesterday when asked about her role as national punch line - but said a healthy sense of humor has been her best defense.
Exactly four years after FBI agents first picked her up for questioning about her affair with President Bill Clinton, Lewinsky awkwardly struggled to keep her composure as she publicized an HBO documentary, "Monica in Black and White."

Her father must be so proud of the family name, and his daughter.

"She's not an actor, she's not a performer, she's a kid," said Sheila Nevins, HBO executive vice president of original programming. "We thought she could protect herself, but. . . ."Yeah--just a little innocent kid--who hits 30 next year.
Monica: Born: 23 July 1973
OTOH, back in '98 when she was a dewey-eyed 25, Bubba was fat, flabby but frisky at 51
BillyJeff: Born: 19 August 1946
Why the impeached old pervert could have been Monica's aging Daddy.

**...the portly pepperpot, who nearly brought down a president.**
That was polite. I'd have written "...the persistent porky pandora who prostituted herself for a president's perverted peccadellos."

I truly pity her, the road she chose is a very rocky one. I hope she finds her way and lives to regret her choices.

**you realize very painfully that a
vacuum is created**
I don't have to write a punchline for this, do I???

"She's not an actor, she's not a performer, she's a kid," said Sheila Nevins, HBO executive vice president of original programming. "We thought she could protect herself, but . . . "Yes, she is a "kid". And she was a lot more of a kid six years ago. A really immature, pathetic kid.
And this is why Clinton strayed from Harry Thomasson's script when he added "that woman" (Ms. Lewinsky) to his televised public denial (which later turned out to be a lie). Clinton feared more than anything else that he would be portrayed as a sick, "dirty old man", or worse, a virtual pedophile. Clinton knew more than anybody what a pathetic and immature little girl Lewinski was. And naturally, the sychophant liberal news media took the hint and the "dirty old pedophile" label never got traction. These same news scum joined with the rat spin doctors and made the "relationship" into a consensual one between a grown man and a "grown woman".
What an utterly sick chapter in the history of this nation.

"I guess you should not have been a dirty SLUT!" Maybe she should have found a more appropriate partner. Telling women they can't ever indulge their dirty slut fantasies strikes me as bad public policy.

Lewinsky awkwardly struggled to keep her composure as she publicized an HBO documentary, "Monica in Black and White." You wouldn't have caught Judith Exner consenting to pimp an HBO "documentary" on her activities...

Yes, Monica Lewinsky is now 28 years old. Gosh, it seems like only yesterday that she was crawling around on the floor of the Oval Office ...

She should have thought about this before she hit her knees for Bill Clinton.
To: kattracks
Guess she should have thought of all that before she got under the desk.

Notice that this article mentions her sexual, um, "indiscretions", but doesn't mention a single word about the fact that the real reasons she became such a central figure were: 1. She knowingly filed a false affidavit in federal court, thereby commiting felony perjury, and 2. Her sex partner chose to lie, stonewall, cheat, maneuver, and propagandize his way through the debacle for most of a year, forcing it onto the front pages for months on end, rather than make it fade by either simply truthfully answering questions asked under oath, or resigning when things came to a, um, head and sparing the country (and Monica) the harsh glare of the spotlight on the whole sordid mess.
They made their bed (or their hallway) and now they get to lie in it. (Ewww...)
