Equating public schools with slavery is the kind of blind cult posturing that Libertarians constantly engage in.

Equating public schools with slavery is the kind of blind cult posturing that Libertarians constantly engage in.1182

Your intent appears to be to deceive the reader. I equated wrongs. Those wrongs are slavery, government controlled education/curriculum and a thousand years of people being taught to believe the Sun evolved around the Earth. (The politics/church of the Dark Ages did that).

Slavery is wrong because it is nearly everything but freedom. It is a wonder that the founders escaping the "slavery" of England didn't acknowledge slavery of their fellow man as a gross negation of liberty. That's point one where even people with the best intentions can be blind to reality. (Roscoe, are you paying attention--that last sentence is the choicest one for you to pluck and twist out of context.) But because conscious man has the ability to reason the Fourteenth Amendment was written and amended to the constitution -- point two. The legislators in the 1920s that prohibited alcohol via amending the constitution were intentionally blind to reality -- point three. But at least they followed the rule of law and amended the constitution --point four. Rather than following the rule of man as the legislators of the last sixty+ years have with their WOD -- point five.

The constitution does not necessarily reflect intelligent or honest government officials in any of the three branches. No where in the constitution does it empower the government to operate a public education system. -- point six.

The political and church leaders for a thousand years during the Dark Ages had a scheme to teach the public that the Sun evolved around the Earth--geocentric model -- point seven. Eventually conscious man's ability to reason won out with Nicolas Copernicus followed by Galileo -- point eight. Important to note is that more than1750 years earlier...

"Based upon these historical accounts, it is clear that a special chain of the Greek mathematician-astronomer-cosmologist-philosophers consisting primarily of Philolaus, Heraclides, and Aristarchus had successively evolved a concept of the universe which was in fair agreement with that of Copernicus over 1750 years later."

"...How could the political/religious master neocheaters be so successful in their scheme as to be able to suppress human knowledge and consciousness for over 1700 years? -- Philosophical Zero

For any powerful authority -- parasitical elites -- to reign by the initiation of force they must control the education the public receives -- point nine. Plank ten of the communist manifesto is government control of education/curriculum the children receive -- point ten.

The above points -- one, three, five, six, seven, nine and ten -- identify wrongs/abuses initiated by parasitical elites and perpetuated by cult-like followings forced on the public. The above points -- two, four and eight -- identify conscious man's ability to reason and thereby correct wrongs and defend against cult-like mentalities.

Your invalid argument; Public schools have existed since the earliest days of our Republic. [Roscoe 1174] -- is invalid because duration in time does not equate to an event being right, moral or valid. Reason validates the identification of right and wrong -- not tradition or cult-like mentality.

BTW, Libertarian doctrine holds contracts must be enforceable, including contracts to sell oneself into slavery.1176

Slavery is the initiation of force. When a person chooses to sell part or all of his labor it is not slavery. The person has a choice and there is no initiation of force that caused his or her decision. Modern day slavery is expressed with the IRS and income tax that is "legitimized" extortion -- initiated force and coercion.

BTW Roscoe, I've told you at least a half dozen times that I'm not a Libertarian. A person need not be a Libertarian to expose your dishonest tactics.
