RE:South Carolina's governor should call out his National Guard and expel the NAACP from the state's borders. This is a blatant attempt at blocking his state's commerce, and should not be tolerated. If the NAACP wants to boycott, they can boycott away from the state, not at its borders.

I'm just an idea hamster. The possibilities are endless.

SC does not have reciprocation with GA....I'm not sure about KY. We were told that the handgun can be carried in the glove-box and transported concealed from the car to the hotel/motel/inn where you are staying, but not anywhere else.

Growing up in SC and knowing SC history I am a major fan of Sir Francis Marion.

To my knowledge, no confederate soldiers are buried on the statehouse grounds. Now I know that there are scars from Shermans cannons on the building shot by his forces from the Congaree River. But this news of a civil rights memorial with JJ is new to me. I left Columbia in 1980 after graduating from USC.

On a side note, we went to the Outback Bowl this year and had the time of our lives.

I don't intend to provide them with any fights for tv coverage....but I will have my sound bites ready just in case I see the Klan with a Tan and a tv camera. I will definitely make sure terrorist organization and RICO extortionists fits in the comment.

Interesting idea???? Boycot SC for the use of a flag that the NAACP assures us represents a south that was pro-slavery (which I agree with), while they constantly tell us the north was not anti-slavery???? I guess the next target will be the flying of the USA Flag???? Why not?? The north wasn't "anti-slavery" enough for the NAACP so why not go ahead and boycott the states that fly it also??

One good thing about this is that it forever puts to rest the idea that "nothing has changed" since slavery days. Just the fact that the NAACP would desire to do this without the slightest fear of attack other than verbal by opponents proves much, much, much has changed down there. Sad, that they won't go into the projects and do something, it is a lot easier to get people fired up with "victimization" than it is to get them out to do something positive and good. TrailofTears
