Pushes every one of my buttons. Between the crumb throwing to the pro-lifers, the normalizing of homosexuals in the republican party and in this administration, the stem cells cave-in, and Ramadan at the White house--I've had it. I think it is funny that the same people here who slammed Clinton for appointing gays are very quiet when Bush appoints gays.

President Bush appointed him ? President Bush would not appoint a homosexual to represent America in an other nation. No, could not happen! No Way! Only a pervert like Bill Clinton Would appoint a gay to be an ambassador!

given that the country is a stronghold of the conservative Eastern Orthodox Church. Yeah funny how people who are Orthodox tend to be conservative. (/sarcasm)
The better way to look at it is that OUR country is a stronghold of the liberal Western Heterodox Church. Which among other things, has the temerity to fly an unrepentant sodomite un the face of a people that still remember what Christianity means.
Fifth Ancient Patriarchate BUMP.

How about the following:
Another person serving at the embassy held a meeting in November to encourage leaders of Romania's fledgling "gay movement.
I'm thinking this isin't so hot, if accurate.

I don't know why Bush does this. Why doesn't he send a gay ambassador to an Islamic country? It's apparently okay to offend Christians but you have to kiss up to the countries that send us terrorists.

The article relies alsmost entirely on the assertions of one annonymous "source." There is no way to verify anything in it. At best this is an example of very sloppy journalism, and from a source that has its own ideological bias. Is there a different source out there for more information on this one?

The only real difference between the republicans and democrats is economics. Both parties are pro-gay, pro-abort--basically socially liberal. They don't represent me anymore, so why should I give them any more money?
They feel secure enough to play the religious right for fools, although they can't get elected without us. When the war winds down, I wonder if anyone will realize that no pro-life issue has been addressed--except of course the stem cell issue, which they waffled on.

...flaunting of the relationship I don't think people would care one way or the other if it wasn't being flaunted. Just for the record,
I would be just as uncomfortable if a heterosexual couple started french kissing on the dance floor.

I live on the same planet as you.
I totally disagree with you because I don't think we should be instilling godless ideas on a country that holds their morals higher than our country does!
...and young person homosexulality is GODLESS!
check out the bible sometime

He is doing it to win over the gay vote. Helps the gays with normalization of their deviant behavior. Romania is a Catholic country that still holds to their religious views. Its insulting, inappropriate, and a slap in the face.

'Flaunting' for a homosexual couple can be merely holding hands at an inappropriate time. I personally know of two homosexual couples, one female couple and one male couple, who are also friends of mine and they do not show their affection in front of others. They know it makes people uncomfortable. They know it would make me uncomfortable. Flaunting is not caring whether others are made to feel uncomfortable.
