I think I'll break precedent and watch CBS FACE The NATION tomorrow. Lieberman and McCain went to Afghanistan together...I figure, Lieberman wanted some of McCain's military mystique to rub off on him, (Lieberman needs military macho if he's to win the democratic presidential slot against Senator John Kerry of MA). McCain wants headlines, so of course he had to go.
McCain was on Larry King Live for the full hour, extolling the virtues of Lieberman to run a non politically partisan ENRON hearing, and describing how well Lieberman and Thompson work together.

It will be interesting to see how they extoll the virtues of Commander In Chief Bush and VP Cheney, while they insinuate all sorts of evil connections to ENRON.
Lieberman made a statement that all the money seized by the United States belonging to terrorists should be released to..............the current Afghanistan interim government. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
IMHO the money should go to United States citizens who suffered a loss on Sept. 11th.
