Yeah, that shift in tactics was a real prize in liberal flipflop. At one point in the program, Bill Press and Coelho were arguing from two completely opposing interpretations of the Enron disaster, but with one thing in common: Bush at fault.

That being said, the liberals cleaned the conservatives' clocks (Bob Novak and Cliff May) on Crossfire today. The White House needs to get some directions out to their friends and allies on how to respond to these accusations, so that conservative commentators can be more effective in pointing out all the holes in the Democrats' claims, as well as the hypocrisies of the Democrat accusers such as that of Tony Coelho (for instance, on another program on CNN, Robert Wexler and J.D. Hayworth were debating Enron, and Hayworth gained major points when he pointed out, to Wexler's chagrin, that the latter had accepted money from Enron in the past).

I just could not believe my eyes when I saw old Tony on there. And CNN wonders why their ratings have dropped?

You're so right. Poor Bob Novak is so mush-mouthed and addled I can't stand to listen to him, even though he eventually makes good points. And Cliff May was like an inflated clown that Bill Press kept punching.

All of our brilliant street fighters have disappeared or are out of the fire-breathing pundit business. Bob Tyrell (that doesn't look right), David Horowitz, Bill Bennett, Barbara Olson (sniff), Mary Matalin (she was great on Imus this morning, though).

And why isn't Steve Forbes making the rounds? I've only heard his defense of Enron and this whole "scandal", once in the past month...and I can't remember a thing he said.
