Truth be told, Jesse hasn't had any true clout within the black community for quite some time. But if one only paid attention to what the media has to say about him, he or she wouldn't get that impression.

Let's just say that Jesse priced the black underclass out of the market.

He was and is a media-created monster. The only way Jesse truly loses all clout is for the media to stop taking him seriously. Once that happens, stick a fork in that brother cuz he's gone!

Which has long been my main problem with him- he's got nothing for the blacks who need it the most. Even his old "I am somebody," "Up with hope" schtick would be something but he abandoned that to run for office. I lost respect for him a loooonnng time ago.
