As I said on the Barr thread I heard they were going to investigate him while he was Governor. What I saw on that link doesn't look good.
This Enron media tempest began not with Enron's imminent bankruptcy but with Daschle's tax raising debacle. This is an effort to change the subject. Sinse the Dems cant win on foreign or domestic policy, all they have left is smear and innuendo. They hope to mollify their base, tarnish the halo a little and hope something more substantive comes along.
If the media weren't solidly democratic they would focus on the fact that a huge energy bankruptcy occurs with minimal effect on markets(remember blaming oilman Bush for high energy prices). Compare that to the financial disaster done TO CONSUMERSeg the "people"when government bungles energy markets in California.
