The real reason you are so adamant in your faith in evolution is because if you were to admit that evolution is scientifically impossible (Read Behe's, who is not a Christian, Darwin's Black Box), you would have to find some other explanation for life and how it happened. Contrary to claims by some non-Christians who recognize that evolution is impossible and state that there are other possible explanations other than Creation, none of these individuals have presented or offered another explanation.
The simple fact is that if evolution has been disproved, and an intellectually honest person cannot possibly claim that the evolution model does not have many serious problems, the answer must lie somewhere else. On the other hand, there is no evidence that cannot be reconciled with the Creation model. Can the Creation model be proven to be absolutely true? Of course not, something even Creationists will readily admit since creation cannot be duplicated; but neither can evolution. This is why they are scientific models, and not scientific theories. Theories can be tested and duplicated, so neither Creation nor evolution are withing the realm of scientific theory.
Belief in Creation certainly does require a degree of faith, but not nearly so much as required to maintain a faith in evolution.
