As I recall, there was a big hue and cry about whether or not to portray President Roosevelt in a wheelchair. In the interest of "portraying history accurately" the wheechair was displayed. Maybe we can get the people that won this one argue again in favor of the real identiy of the firefighters? Somehow, I doubt it!

True about the FDR statue...but did you know that they eliminated his cigarette? FDR was a chain smoker and the sculptor wanted to show him with his characteristic cigarette holder, but NO! The nanny state decided that some moron might see it and decide to take up smoking. Trust me: history books will be coming out in which all historic figures who smoked will have their cigars/cigarettes/pipes airbrushed out. Old movies, too.
