Los Angeles- Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND (Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny), will host “The Third Annual National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson.” The event will be held on the day Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday is celebrated, Monday, January 21, 2002, in front of the offices of Jackson’s Rainbow/PUSH L.A. Chapter, at 5750 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, California, from 12 noon till 2:00 PM PST.

It has been reported that Jackson has attempted to undermine the Bush Administration and the “War on Terrorism” by trying to negotiate with the Taliban. Jackson is also continuing to pressure major corporations with the apparent intent to enrich himself. “Jesse Jackson is desperate and out of control. He’s losing power, and he’s willing to do anything to hold on to it,” said Rev. Peterson.

Recently, Rev. Peterson was confronted by Jesse Jackson, his son Jonathan Jackson, and other Jackson supporters at a meeting with Toyota Motors officials in Los Angeles. The automaker was unveiling their plans to spend $700 million in minority communities as part of their “21st Century Diversity Strategy” program. During a Q and A session Rev. Peterson asked the Toyota official, “As the President of a nonprofit conservative organization, I’m concerned that our young people will be locked out of any training programs offered by Toyota because of our conservative beliefs. How are you going to make sure that organizations like ours will not be discriminated against by Rainbow/PUSH and its members?” The crowd of about 200 began yelling and screaming at Rev. Peterson to sit down and be quiet. At the conclusion of the meeting, Rev. Peterson was shoved by Jonathan Jackson and surrounded by Jesse Jackson and a dozen or so Jackson supporters who were screaming, and threatening to physically assault him. “I grew up in Alabama, and the whole thing reminded me of Ku Klux Klan meetings that I saw as a kid, except the participants at this meeting were black thugs dressed in suits instead of white ones dressed in sheets,” stated Rev. Peterson.

Rev. Peterson is calling on Americans of all races to come out Monday, January 21, 2002, to help repudiate Jesse Jackson for his “despicable, thug-like tactics,” and to keep Dr. King’s dream alive.

PRE-EVENT Traffic on Wilshire Boulevard was unusually light, since the banks and public offices are closed on Martin Luther King Day in Los Angeles, and inside the gleaming, rose-red walls of the Wilshire Court office buildings, the lights were out. Not many, if any, people inside the suites which house the Los Angeles offices of Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition/PUSH money-making machine. On the sidewalk outside, however, there was plenty of activity. I arrived at 11:40 a.m. and greeted an increasing group of ralliers already gathered together. ...I opposed the flag because I do not want my tax dollars spent to glorify treasonous behavior.

Just curious, but why do you consider supporting the confederate flag to be treasonous?

As for the main subject of this post, I wish I could attend because I despise Jesse Jackson's divisive political ramblings. Without racism, he would have to get a regular job with average wages, therefore it is to his advantage to stir up racism and even to create it where it doesn't exist.

Just once, I would like to see one of the major corporations he attempts to blackmail take him to court for extortion!!!
