SUMMARY AS OF:

6/6/2001--Introduced.

American Wildlife Enhancement Act of 2001 - Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Programs Improvement Act - Amends the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act to extend through FY 2006 the funding for the Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Account. Revises Account apportionment amounts between the States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.

Prohibits: (1) any State from receiving less than one percent (currently, one-half percent) of such funds; and (2) such funds from being diverted for other purposes.

Authorizes a State, the District, or a territory to apply to the Secretary of the Interior: (1) for approval of a wildlife conservation and restoration program; and (2) to receive funding for such program through such apportionment. Limits to 75 percent the Federal share of such a program. Requires each State receiving an apportionment to develop and implement a wildlife conservation strategy based on the best available scientific information.

Amends the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to authorize the Secretary to: (1) provide financial assistance to any person for development and implementation of an endangered and threatened species recovery agreement; (2) review such agreements; (3) enter into approved agreements; and (4) monitor agreement implementation.

Amends the Partnerships for Wildlife Act to direct the Secretary to establish a competitive program for grants to States to pay the Federal share of the costs of conservation of non-Federal land or water of regional or national significance.<P

Thanks for the flag! I'm still punching holes in my walls, over the gubmint's claim that it can't release the names of criminal "scientists" (who planted animal samples), due to "privacy" constraints.

BTW, what happened to the "bookmark" function?

Perhaps we can find a Rep. or Senator who could sponsor a bill to make a Federal Mandatory Sentence guidline for committing fraud on a Federal Grant study, the punishment being life in prison, no parole?

After all, these frauds not only scam OUR tax $$$, but cause UNTOLD damage to our economy and laws, while advancing their own twisted dementia by fiat, instead of the populace being informed and voting.

Just another example of Elitists telling the citizenry that THEY know what is best...damned EnviroFascists!!!

The agenda of the supposed animal rights(what pile of elephant dung, animals can't have rights) groups disguise their real goal, the take over of privately owned land. They endanger the lives and livelyhoods of decent citizens. If they want to be of benefit to man and beast, they should throw themselves to the sharks.

Nothing maintained as truth by Washington, D.C. can be trusted anymore, I hope people are getting this. D.C. is out of control, no one is in charge of the asylum, but communists/socialist that have been entrenched there for decades.

Bush isn't in charge of it, the heads of the agencies appointed to them are not in charge of them, life time employee's with an agenda that cannot be fired are in charge. Each promoting the necessity of his own little piece of the Fed. and he is busily growing it's power and it's take of the pie.

The cascade of lies about everything environmental should, by now, have convinced the public that US government officials responsible for setting national policies and environmental groups seeking to determine what those policies should be cannot be trusted.

It is time to reintroduce the government to the Declaration of Independence and the resultant actions taken thereto.

Thanks for the ping. The more publicity these frauds get, the better-- eventually, everyone will get as cynical about "science" as I am, and then finally, maybe the scientific community will clean itself up. When the creditbility of "scientists" falls to the level of lawyers, the voters will de-fund this crap.
