Yes or No Questions:

1) Do you think any company should be able to layoff part of its workforce as it thinks is necessary?

2) Do you think all employees should be guaranteed their job for life?

3) Would you personally be willing to pay 50% more for every product, starting today, if it meant that all U.S. layoffs could be prevented for the next 6 months?

4) Do you think that the government should create jobs by outlawing the ownership of backhoes so that another 40 men could be employed to dig the earth for each backhoe destroyed?

5) Should the government have a say in deciding which companies can layoff people or how many can be laid off?

6) Should a company bleed out with losses and bilk all of its creditors until it fully collapses instead of laying off a portion of people to keep the company alive and the rest of the workforce employed?

7) If you were laid off, would you think it was a good idea to immediately hire more people to work around your house?

8) Is there a such thing as "too much" profits that a corporation can make?

9) If you were on the Titanic that had just sunk, and you were in a 30 man liferaft that had 40 people on it and water right up to the gunnels, would you try to rescue 10 more people from the water?

Here are some yes/no questions for you:

1) Should American organizations or individuals be allowed to benefit themselves by assisting foreign organizations or individuals devoted to the destruction of the USA?

In other words,

2) Should American individuals or organizations be allowed to make money strengthening the political, economic, and technological assets of foreign organizations or individuals whose idea of a good time is staying awake late at night figuring out ways to destroy us?

3) Is it really a good idea to sell gasoline and matches to a homicidal-suicidal pyromaniac who has repeatedly told everyone how he has wet dreams about burning you to death?

In response to one of your questions:

-----------------------------

1) Do you think any company should be able to layoff part of its workforce as it thinks is necessary?

A company has the right to lay off employees so as to prevent losing money. In some cases it may even be a moral duty in the sense of continuing existence of the company to continue to provide employment for those still there.

That's not the issue here. The issue is whether it's beneficial over the long term to replace American workers with semi-slave or slave labor, and whether it might even result in long term destruction of the company doing it, in spite of temporary profits.

Your rights arguments remind me of Hugh Heffner of playbooy magazine. He pretends a crudase for sexual rights and freedom as an abstract argument. The reality is, he has rationalized a pattern of abusive behavior licensing himself to leave a trail of emotionally maind and suicidal women.

It has been my experience in recent years that liberals, of which you are one, when they want to pull some bullcrap, begin with abstract arguments asserting personal rights.

My young foolish brat, it's time not just to toalk abour what you or others have the RIGHT to do, but what it's WISE to do over the long term, and what the CINSEQUENCES are over the long term. This is the area where you are noticeably disinclined to begin a dialogue.
